Here is the eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – Probationary Officer) post in government banks for the 2025 recruitment:
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025
1. Nationality / Citizenship:
You must be:
- An Indian citizen, OR
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, OR
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India, OR
- A person of Indian origin (PIO) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., intending to settle in India permanently.
2. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
(Born between 2nd August 1995 and 1st August 2005 - both dates inclusive)

3. Educational Qualification:
- A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university (like BA, BCom, BSc, BTech, etc.)
- Final-year students can also apply if they can produce proof of graduation by the time of interview.
4. Computer Knowledge:
- Basic working knowledge of computer systems is required.
- Some banks may require a certificate or studied computer as a subject in school/college.
5. Language Proficiency:
- Should be proficient in reading/writing/speaking the local language of the State/UT you are applying for.
